Alaska Airlines Expands 18 Exciting New Sun and Ski Routes

Alaska Airlines is elevating its winter travel offerings with the introduction of 18 new nonstop routes to popular sunny getaways and snowy retreats. This expansion includes the airline’s inaugural service to Vail, Colorado, reinforcing its dedication to providing diverse travel experiences. What are New Ski Destinations

Winter sports enthusiasts will be thrilled with the new routes to some of North America’s best ski destinations. For the first time, Alaska Airlines will fly to Vail, Colorado, from both San Diego and Seattle. Additionally, the airline is introducing nonstop service from Los Angeles to Kelowna, Canada, which is renowned for its central British Columbia ski resorts. Travelers from San Diego can also look forward to new flights to Reno, offering easy access to Lake Tahoe’s ski resorts.

Adventure and Exploration

For those who seek adventure and exploration, Alaska Airlines is adding several exciting routes. A new winter-seasonal service between Boise and Bozeman, Montana, will serve as a gateway to Yellowstone National Park. Year-round service between Boise and Santa Ana, California, will provide easy access to nearby theme parks. Additionally, new flights to Orlando from both Boise and Sacramento will allow travelers to escape the winter chill and enjoy Florida’s warm weather and famous amusement parks.

Recognizing the demand for sunny destinations during winter, Alaska Airlines is expanding its service to some of the most popular vacation spots in Mexico and Latin America. New nonstop flights to Liberia, Costa Rica, from San Francisco and Seattle will further solidify Alaska Airlines’ status as the largest U.S. carrier between the West Coast and Latin America. This new service will mark the airline’s 104th nonstop route from Seattle.

Expanded Service to Mexico

Alaska Airlines is also increasing its presence in Mexico. Alaska will launch seven new routes to Mexico. The airline will become the first U.S. carrier to connect Fresno and Guadalajara with daily flights between December and January. Additionally, new routes will include service from Sacramento to Los Cabos and the only nonstop service between New York and Puerto Vallarta. Alaska Airlines will also launch flights from Sacramento, Kansas City, and St. Louis to various Mexican destinations, including Puerto Vallarta and Cancún.

Other noteworthy routes include new flights from Sacramento to Tucson and from Kansas City to Puerto Vallarta and Cancún. The airline will also offer once-weekly flights from St. Louis to Puerto Vallarta. These additions cater to both leisure and business travelers, providing more options for winter getaways.
